Room Portfolio

An interactive portfolio with an illustrated room, a desktop-style workspace, and a list view, available on desktop and mobile.

Overview

I wanted my portfolio to feel personal while keeping my work easy to find. Inspired by ’90s cartoons, I created an avatar based on myself and built an interactive room around her.

Visitors can explore objects in the room to learn about me, or open the monitor to enter roqayaOS, a workspace containing my projects, experience, awards and resume. A separate list view provides a direct way to browse the same content.

On desktop, apps open in independent windows that can be moved, resized, minimized and snapped side by side. On phones, visitors can swipe through the room and use an adapted workspace with one app visible at a time.

I designed the experience and built the Angular application, including the room interactions, window management, responsive layouts, galleries and navigation. I used AI tools during development and to create and refine the illustrated artwork.
